Tampa Bay Artist Gionni “Paperboy” Cassanova Taking Over

Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you got into music?
Well, I got into music by my dad playing these songs that are from the 70s, 80s, and 90s just when I was 3 years old, and from that point on I always loved music and especially the older songs! but my biggest influence was always Teddy Riley and Michael Jackson.
How would you describe your sound and your musical influences?
I’d say my sound is “Funky Pop” but I have an old-school vibe like Smokey Robinson, Teddy Riley and Michael Jackson.
What can fans expect from your upcoming album?
They should expect to have fee-good sounds like back in the day. Funky pop has its own sound with a touch of new jack swing. I intend on giving everyone something new and funky they can vibe to.
Can you talk about your songwriting process and how you come up with your lyrics?
My song writing process really comes from the man above and just the beauty of earth creatures and the kids because when you look at the younger kids you see joy and happiness and just a pure soul that comes from God. When I start singing, all of my friends love my music, it makes them happy and makes them want to dance.
What has been your favorite moment or performance in your music career so far?
Well I have not done many performances yet but I am working with some of the greatest people in the industry. It is all so surreal, just a dream come true.
What are your goals for the future of your music career?
My goal in the future is to be one of the best and to inspire people to follow their dreams.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” In a world where many choose to emulate Ramsey Renée is here to illuminate. Gifted and talented through artistic and creative expression Ramsey has put the “personal” in personality. Songstress Ramsey has been humming before she could talk and singing before she could walk. This 17 year old phenom began to pursue music seriously at the age of 9 debuting as the opening act for “Runway Moms For a Cause”. Her generational singing was gifted to her from her dad, and her authenticity is attributed to the relationship she has with her mom. At the age of 12, Ramsey decided it was time to advocate for herself. Navigating through her adolescent years, Ramsey came to terms with bipolar disorder and it’s highs and lows. She began writing original music to give her a sense of control. Where she didn’t feel heard she sounded off within her lyrics delivering a breath of fresh honesty to the industry. “Therapy is important and doing music gives me a creative outlet to transmit my feelings in a healthy way whilst giving a sense of relatability“.
As a singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitar player Ramsey’s artistry introduces her fans to what versatility really is. Her rawness in her lyricism attests to just how confusing growing up and finding your purpose truly can be. Loyal to herself and her craft, Ramsey continues to evolve within her artistry. “If It Ain’t You” was born personifying transparency of emotions. Within this single Ramsey exposes her insecurities, and promotes healthy dialogue about what it means to love yourself. In that same light “When I’m With You” came about as a selflove ballad where Ramsey illustrates her relationship with herself. Her free spirit earned her the opportunity of a lifetime as headliner of the “Emancipation Concert” at our nations capital. Mayor Browser was so moved by her gifted talent that he extended a personal invitation to Ramsey through her Momager. Her success snowballed causing recognition from greats such as Grammy Nominated recording artist Wale, Grammy Award winning recording artist Andra Day; Flex Kartel, and Adé. Heavily influenced by Lauryn Hill and Jazmine Sullivan Ramsey’s music is “soulspiring” with her angelic voice and melodic sounds.
“I love music, I love to interact with others. I’m sort of a social butterfly.” To date Ramsey has released “Phases” her current full project. “When I’m with you”, the visual, is said to release summertime 2023. “Conversations” is now available for streaming and the visual will grace your screens soon. April 2023 Ramsey was nominated for and was the recipient of the Wammie Award in the category of Best Youth Artist-Group! Check out Ramsey Renèe now on all streaming platforms!
